About Chantal and The Split Decision

Hello, my name is Chantal, and I am the founder of The Split Decision.

I hold qualifications in counselling and financial counselling, and provide practical separation support to help individuals organise information, understand their financial situation, and move forward with clarity during separation.

The Split Decision was created from lived experience. After navigating my own separation while managing work, family responsibilities, and homeschooling, I experienced firsthand the significant administrative, financial, and practical demands that arise during this time. 

Even with professional advice, it can be difficult to organise information, prepare for appointments, and manage ongoing requirements.

I recognised a gap between receiving advice and being able to take clear, structured action.

My work is grounded in solution-focused counselling and focuses on helping you organise information, prepare for professional requirements, and remain clear and structured throughout the separation process.

As a neurodivergent person, I also understand how stress and cognitive load can affect organisation, information processing, and the ability to take action. 

This informs my practical, structured approach, which is tailored to your individual needs.

The Split Decision exists to provide calm, professional support during a time that can otherwise feel overwhelming.

Based in Perth, I work with individuals navigating separation at all stages of the process.
